Monk Cleaning Services provides commercial window cleaning across the North West, including ground-floor glazing for business premises. Tell us which windows and doors are included, whether both faces are required and how the area around them is used. Ground-floor height is a useful description, but the surrounding space still determines practical access.

Build a clear elevation list

Describe the front, side, rear and courtyard windows separately. A business may have easily visible street-facing glass and a rear elevation behind a locked yard or adjoining property. Include both in the brief if required, with a photograph showing the approach to each.

List entrance doors and glazed side panels alongside the ordinary windows. Recessed panes, windows behind railings and glass over a lower-level area need particular description. On a sloping site, a window described as ground floor from inside may sit at a different height outside, so a photograph is especially useful.

Show what occupies the working space

Outside, note parked vehicles, delivery areas, outdoor seating, fences and planting. Tell us whether the land is private, shared or part of a public route. Those details help assess how the glass can be approached and who needs to coordinate the space.

Inside, identify desks, counters, stock and fixed furniture beside the windows. State what your team can clear and when the rooms are available. An outside-only request should be labelled clearly; adding internal faces can change access requirements even where the glass itself is at a straightforward height.

Set priorities for routine care

Explain which areas show marks most readily and which are most visible to visitors. A frequently used entrance and a quieter rear office may have different initial frequency preferences. Naming those areas allows a recurring proposal to reflect the way the building is used.

Tell us about unusual residue, applied graphics or known damage before the work is priced. Frames, sills, tracks and adjacent signs should be separate items where needed. The site review confirms the practical approach and the written scope identifies the surfaces included, so a low-level window request remains specific.

Ground-floor cleaning questions

Is ground-floor cleaning automatically straightforward?

Not always. A short distance from the ground does not remove obstructions or resolve shared access. Show the full area around the pane and identify anything that limits the available working space.

Can I request only street-facing windows?

Yes. Mark the included frontage and explain whether entrance doors and side returns belong to the same request. A defined partial scope is clearer than saying “all ground-floor glass” when some elevations are excluded.

Can internal and external visits follow different patterns?

You can discuss separate preferences. List the inside and outside requirements distinctly, with the access arrangements for each. The proposed schedule can then be considered without assuming that every face needs attention at the same time.

Send the postcode, elevation photographs and your preferred one-off or regular arrangement to begin the enquiry.
