Photos and site details for a commercial cleaning quote
Practical information to help you plan the work, prepare your enquiry and agree a clear commercial cleaning scope.
Request a quoteYou do not need a professional survey to start a commercial cleaning enquiry. A postcode, the work required and a contact are enough to begin. If you have photographs, a few clear views of the building and its access can help the team understand the request and ask better follow-up questions.
The most useful photographs
- A wide view of each relevant elevation. Include the ground and nearby space so the approach is visible.
- The main access point. Show a gate, courtyard or other entrance that is not obvious from the address.
- A closer view of a specific concern. Include a second wider image so a mark or difficult window can be located on the building.
- Any separate structure. Label annexes, blocks or units rather than assuming the team will recognise them.
Use short labels such as “Block B, rear” or “shopfront, internal face”. For a portfolio, group the images by site address. This is more useful than a large collection of unlabelled pictures.
Keep photography simple
Take images only from places you can normally and safely access. Do not use ladders, enter a roof area or cross a restricted boundary to prepare an enquiry. Existing maintenance images or plans may be more appropriate for areas that cannot be photographed from the ground.
Focus on the building. Avoid people, care or student records, computer screens, access codes and other private information. A photograph that shows a sensitive detail is not necessary just because it also shows a window.
What photographs cannot tell us
Images may not show who owns adjoining land, whether a gate is normally locked or when rooms are available. Add those facts in a short note. If a material, stain or access condition is uncertain, describe the uncertainty rather than guessing.
The team may still need a site visit or further information to agree a method and price. Photographs support an assessment; they do not replace every part of one.
Send only what you have
There is no need to delay the enquiry while collecting every image on this list. Start with the basics and the most useful photographs available. The team can then identify what matters for your particular building and confirm the next step.
