One-off or regular commercial window cleaning?

Practical information to help you plan the work, prepare your enquiry and agree a clear commercial cleaning scope.

Request a quote

A one-off commercial clean addresses a particular visit or requirement. A regular programme sets out repeated work at agreed intervals. Monk Cleaning Services considers both across the North West, with the scope and commercial terms confirmed for the individual premises.

When a one-off request is useful

A business may need windows cleaned before an event, after a period of vacancy or as part of preparing an occupied building for a new use. Explain the reason and required date so the team can assess the work and availability.

If the request follows building or decorating work, identify residues such as paint, adhesive or mortar separately. They should not be assumed to be included in a routine clean. Likewise, a one-off whole-building request needs the elevations and internal areas named, not simply the word “everything”.

What an ongoing programme needs

A recurring arrangement should specify the surfaces, frequency and access responsibilities. Some premises may want frontages and entrance glass cleaned on a different basis from upper elevations or internal rooms. Those differences can be discussed rather than forcing every area into one interval.

For a building that has not been maintained recently, the initial visit may have a different scope from later work. Ask how that is shown in the proposal. Do not assume that a recurring price describes any extra work needed to establish the starting condition.

Check the terms that actually apply

Before accepting a programme, review the price, included work, attendance arrangements and any contract, cancellation or payment terms in the quotation. The domestic booking products and their frequency choices do not establish the commercial terms for a business property.

If you only want a single visit, say so in the enquiry. If you want to compare a one-off clean with an ongoing option, ask for the scopes to be distinguished so you can make a fair comparison.

Allow for change

Buildings change: tenants move, access is altered and new surfaces may be added. Any material change to a regular brief should be discussed with the team. A clear schedule makes it easier to see whether an additional request is already included or needs a separate assessment.

Start with the postcode, type of premises, glass required and whether you are considering one-off or regular work. You do not need to commit to a frequency before making the first enquiry.
