We assess commercial render cleaning requests across the North West. Rendered walls need a brief that describes the finish, condition and visible problem, rather than assuming every facade should receive the same treatment. The team will confirm the proposed scope after reviewing the information.

Describe the problem you want addressed

Explain whether you are concerned about general soiling, coloured streaks, patchy marks or growth on the surface. A wide view of the wall and a closer photograph of the affected area help show the difference. If the cause is unknown, say so; an enquiry should not turn an uncertain mark into an assumed diagnosis.

Flag cracks, loose areas, failing finishes or previous repairs. Cleaning is separate from rectifying defects, and a quotation should not be read as a promise to restore damaged render. The team may need further assessment before deciding what can be treated.

Share the finish information you have

Where available, give the render system, coating or maintenance instructions. These can be especially useful on a recently built or refurbished commercial property. Do not choose a chemical or pressure method yourself as a condition of the enquiry; the appropriate approach depends on the actual surface and site.

Different elevations may have different finishes or previous treatments. Identify those variations rather than describing the property as a single uniform wall surface.

Consider the area around the walls

Entrances, pedestrian routes, planting, parked cars and neighbouring property may sit close to the rendered facade. Tell us how the space is used and who can arrange access. Include any site rules or environmental restrictions that the facilities team needs considered.

For an apartment block or occupied care setting, the person commissioning the work should also identify who coordinates notices and access. The practical arrangement is part of agreeing the job, not something to leave until arrival.

Combine related work clearly

If you want windows, cladding or roofline surfaces included, list each one. Describe your desired timing and whether there is a particular elevation to prioritise. A clear quotation should state the surfaces and work covered, along with any limitations identified during assessment.
