High-access commercial window cleaning

Commercial window and exterior cleaning across the North West. Scope, access and timing agreed for your building.

High or awkward commercial windows need an access assessment as well as a cleaning specification. Monk Cleaning Services considers North West enquiries involving upper-storey glazing, recessed windows and other areas where the surroundings affect the method. The building's height alone does not determine whether a particular approach will work.

Show the glazing and the space around it

A photograph of an elevation should include the area at its base. Trees, canopies, parked vehicles, steep ground, fences and lower roofs may change how the glass can be approached. Note any courtyard or rear elevation that is not visible from the main entrance.

Tell us whether the surrounding land is yours, shared with other occupiers or managed by someone else. Any permission needed to use that space should be identified early. An access route that looks open in a photograph may still have restrictions on when or how it can be used.

The method follows the assessment

Our existing commercial service includes water-fed pole and traditional window cleaning, with other access machinery sourced where required for suitable work. High-level requirements may involve additional arrangements. The team confirms the proposed method and what can be included after reviewing the site.

Do not rely on a maximum pole-reach figure as a promise that every window at that height can be cleaned. Distance from the building, obstructions, the shape of the facade and the working area all need to be considered. Some surfaces may need a separate survey or may be excluded from a proposed scope.

Questions for the facilities contact

  • Which elevations and highest windows need cleaning?
  • Where can the team enter, park and approach the building?
  • Are there public routes, vehicle movements or occupied areas to coordinate?
  • Who can approve access and provide relevant site information?

Share any existing access documents through an agreed route, and identify site induction or permit requirements in the enquiry. We do not ask you to obtain roof photographs or enter restricted areas just to request a quote.

Keep the quote specific

List internal high-level glass separately from exterior windows, and distinguish a one-off clean from an ongoing programme. The agreed quotation should identify the included surfaces, access arrangements and any separate costs or conditions before work is booked.
