Describe the shape of the overhead glazing

Liverpool Window Cleaner offers skylight and roof-window cleaning in Maghull. If your enquiry concerns a roof lantern or another group of shaped panels, show the whole arrangement. The word skylight can describe different forms of glazing, and a single-window count may not explain the actual surfaces.

Identify the panel groups and faces you want considered. A simple description such as sloping sides and central panes can be useful alongside photographs. You do not need to assign a precise architectural term when the shape and requested scope can be shown directly.

Separate the components in the request

Component	What to clarify
Glass panels	Which inside or outside faces are requested.
Frames and trim	Specific surfaces you want considered.
Surrounding roof	Context for access or a separate cleaning question.

A photograph may contain all three, but that does not make them one automatic package. Mark anything shown only to explain the setting, so it is not mistaken for an instruction to clean the surrounding roof.

Show the approach above and below

Provide exterior context from ordinary accessible positions, including nearby walls, boundaries and other structures. For inside faces, show the room below the glazing, with furniture and fixed fittings visible. A view directly up at the glass can hide the practical approach beneath it.

The proposed surfaces, material information and access are assessed before arrangements are agreed. A lower roof position does not automatically establish a suitable exterior approach, and permission to access an area does not alone settle the practical question.

Keep condition concerns explicit

Share known panel materials, manufacturer information or previous replacement details if available. Mention leaks, cracks and marks that may be within glazing. Cleaning is not repair or restoration of every component, and differences between panels should not be assumed to be removable dirt.

If the glazing is part of a conservatory or a wider glazed structure, our conservatory cleaning information can help frame the related enquiry. Keep the requested roof groups and faces specifically named within any broader scope.

Questions about shaped glazing

Is a roof lantern the same request as one roof window?

Describe its actual shape and panel groups rather than assuming equivalence. The amount, position and access to the glazing matter to the enquiry. Wider photographs help establish the difference without needing precise measurements.

Can I ask for the inside faces only?

Yes. Identify the panels and show the room layout beneath them. Keep the outside explicitly separate so the accepted scope does not imply both faces of every panel are included.

Include the Maghull address when sending the glazing overview.
